About Our Workshops
Our Cook Islands cultural workshops offer organisations a unique and engaging way to bring people together through culture, movement, and shared experience.

Through interactive activities, participants are introduced to elements of Cook Islands culture including traditional dance, rhythm, storytelling, and the cultural meaning behind the movements. These experiences encourage participation, helping teams connect, build confidence, and engage with one another in a relaxed and inclusive environment.

We created our Culture Connection workshops with the belief that cultural experiences can help strengthen communication, encourage collaboration, and foster a deeper appreciation for diversity within the workplace. By sharing authentic Cook Islands traditions, we create opportunities for teams to step outside their usual routines and connect in meaningful ways.

Cook Islands Ura Workshop
The outline below reflects a typical session, however all workshops can be customised to suit your organisation’s needs, including session length, group size, location, and level of participation.
Our Cook Islands cultural workshops offer organisations a unique and engaging way to bring people together through the music, movement, and traditions of the Cook Islands. Led by experienced male and female tutors, participants are guided through the foundations of traditional Cook Islands dance, learning key techniques, rhythm, and the cultural meaning behind the movements.

Throughout the session, participants take part in fun and interactive drills before learning a short choreographed routine together. The workshop concludes with a light-hearted “showtime” moment where teams perform their routine, creating a memorable shared experience that encourages connection and confidence.

Designed to be engaging, inclusive, and energising, the workshop welcomes participants of all backgrounds and ability levels. Through movement, storytelling, and cultural insight, teams gain a deeper appreciation for Cook Islands culture while strengthening communication, collaboration, and team spirit.
